Burro Flats Painted Cave

This cave in the Simi Hills is located along one of the larger creeks, Bell Creek, and is famous for the ancient pictograms made by the indigenous people. The land is currently owned by Boeing, and the caves are not open to the public; in fact, their exact location is kept secret, but where there is a will, there is a way. The pictographs themselves include stick figures wearing headdresses, stick-figure animals, a circle with a star inside, and more abstract pictures of circles and trigrams. The cave is hidden within a grassy slope in the hillside above the creek.
