Civic Center

The pristine white buildings of the Civic Center complex make up the work place of nearly 100,000 employees, making it the second largest concentration of government employees in the country, only surpassed by Washington D.C. The architecture of City Hall is a mix between mission style and art deco; its 27-story roof was once the tallest in the city. Also in the complex are several courthouses, the transportation department, and the Hall of Records.
