Little Tokyo
littletokyo.jpg

Originally much larger, Little Tokyo is now just five blocks situated on the west side of the LA River in the downtown district. Landmarks include the “Go for Broke” monument commemorating the Japanese Americans who served in World War II, the Japanese American National Museum, and the iconic red pagoda-style “watchtower” that marks the center of the Japanese Village Plaza. The Japanophiles of Los Angeles can find here the shops and eateries selling mochi, bubble tea drinks, Japanese music and movies, and of course sushi and other Japanese cuisine.
