Sepulveda Garden Center

This community garden has about 800 garden plots, each about ten by 20 feet in size and rentable either annually or biannually. The garden is monitored by at least one employee of the city at all times, and only open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. most days, though during the summer, the garden stays open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Shovels, rakes, and other gardening tools, located in a storage container, are available to borrow so that gardeners do not need to lug in their own equipment. There’s little rhyme or reason to the lots here, as each is rented and worked by an individual; a flower garden might sit next to a vegetable garden; one might be tidy and organized with dividers while the next is a free flowing hodge podge of plants.
