The Greek
The outdoor amphitheater sits at the base of the foothills, surrounded by the coastal pines and oaks of Griffith Park. Six thousand red seats fan out and upward in stadium seating around the stage, which is not as ornate as the ancient Greek amphitheaters from which it gets its name, but suits its purpose. Large screens mounted on either side of the stage give a close-up view of the performances for those who would otherwise need binoculars to see facial expressions. Concession stands and restrooms are placed outside of the stadium.
