Totonga Joe's

Named for the original Native-American village of the area, this coffee shop prides itself on not being like the typical Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leafs on every other corner of LA and the greater world. Several comfortable couches, none the same color or shape, provide a place to lounge. Spinners full of used books offer reading material for the patrons and board games are set out for those looking for some playful interaction.. The walls are adorned with an eclectic mix of paintings, photographs, and records. The coffee itself is strong and kept fresh, with the usual assortment of flavored syrups for variety, along with pastries for the hungry.
