Vampire Groups
Though there are innumerable cliques and enclaves of vampires and their allies, the largest classification is based on their most basic of needs: Food. The two camps of thought, and respectively, the two camps of vampire philosophies, are known as "Bloodright" and "The Fellowship of the Damned." Most vampires find themselves aligning with one or the other, at least philosophically. Regardless of their philosophies, all vampires are expected to be obedient and loyal to the "master" vampire of the area, known as the Rex (see Rex Neculai) and any of his "guard."

Most vampires, ancient or V2, won't admit to being a Bloodright member in mixed company, as their shared basic principle is that they should, can, and, for many, will feed on whomever they want, whenever they want, taking as much as they want. They believe that human life and human law are both beneath them. These vampires tend to look down on the "Damned" as weak and unworthy of being vampires. While many of the ancients fall on the Bloodright side of the fence, there is a growing number of V2s here as well who have come to relish their new powers.

There are Bloodright "believers" who choose to follow the law (which dictates vampires may only drink from willing victims in "safe" amounts) but do so to avoid unsavory consequences, like prison or execution; however, they are considered to be at the bottom of the totem pole within the group.

Fellowship of the Damned

Colloquially called "The Damned," these are mostly V2s (though there are some ancients as well) who believe that vampires should only feed on willing human victims and only take enough to survive, never taking a human life. It is these vampires who work within the system to create blood banks, write legislation, or launch marketing and PR campaigns. Their reasons for following the philosophy are manifold, be it simply a practical decision or an act of conscience. Some may actually believe in Bloodright's mindset, but work with the "Damned" for reasons known only to themselves.
